November 8th the channels will air High School Musical, The Music, The Series.
While the show remains slated as a Disney+ exclusive, the early access of shows on these major channels is of course a way to get viewers hooked on the show and signup for the new streaming app.
The scripted series is a mockumentary following a group of students attending the real school where Disney Channel filmed the High School Musical trilogy. When their drama teacher discovers that the school has never actually staged a performance of the musical, she’s “shocked, inspired and triggered,” and immediately holds auditions.
Disney+ launches November 12th for $6.99/mo. It is expected that if you have Hulu you will be able to tie the two accounts together where all Disney+ programming will show up in Hulu.
