Today the internet is buzzing that cable is raising rates yet again not directly, but by moving channels into pricier packages… this time some will pay as much as $32/mo. Here’s the breakdown and info so hopefully you can save some money.

TCM Turner Classic Movies will be moving to an add on pack… in some places it’s called preferred or sports add on, but it is moving in all markets to a higher tier that should cost anywhere from as little as $9.99/mo to $20/mo more, but the good news if you have these packages already you won’t even notice the change.

Starz will be removed from the Premier or Platinum package and be $12/mo stand alone. It looks like everyone that keeps Starz will now pay $12/mo more. Call them for details on discounts if this happens to you.

The Music Choice channels which Comcast pays for and doesn’t completely own will be deleted sooner or latter, but you will get a Comcast Music Radio app on your phone and TV for free.

If you want to save you can try Hulu with Live TV, Playstation Vue, and others like Sling TV.
